Palm Coast, FL (July 22, 2010) -- Searching for Flagler County business listings from your smart phone just got easier thanks to the www.Flaglerknows.com mobile application! The free app can be downloaded from the iPhone App Store by searching for "Flaglerknows" in the "Reference" category, or clicking on the iPhone link on the Flaglerknows.com homepage. Users of other smart phones can use http://m.flaglerknows.com/ link and search for listings.
FlaglerKnows Mobile puts the Flagler Chamber Phone Book in the hands of people with iPhone, Blackberry, Google Android or Palm phones, providing a fast and easy way to search nearby businesses and get phone numbers, maps, directions and more.
"We are delighted to offer this useful service to Flagler County, and expect on-the-go, tech-savvy consumers will embrace FlaglerKnows Mobile," said Doug Baxter, president of the Flagler Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates. "Our ultimate goal is to make it easier for people, regardless of the mobile phone they carry, to buy from local businesses."
Last April, the Flagler Chamber Phone Book launched www.FlaglerKnows.com, a search-engine friendly online telephone directory that allows residents, businesses, visitors and tourists to search, find, discover and share Flagler County information from their desktops, laptops and mobile phones. FlaglerKnows.com features yellow page listings and business profiles of merchants and service providers, and makes it easy to connect buyers and sellers through the Internet. The site's guide "Henry" is a cartoon representation of Henry Morrison Flagler, the 19th century industrial tycoon who played a key role developing the eastern coast of Florida. "Henry" invites visitors to FlaglerKnows.com to explore the best of Flagler County: its business community, services and recreational activities.
